ARLIS/NA MOQ (ARLIS/Montréal, Ottawa, Québec) was founded in 1987 as the first Canadian chapter of ARLIS/NA (Art Libraries Society of North America). Created in 1972 and composed of 1500 members from the United States, Canada and Mexico, ARLIS/NA is an organization dedicated to the concerns of art, architecture and visual resources specialists in the broadest sense of the word. The chapter’s goals are to promote the ideals and ideas of ARLIS/NA in the local and regional context.
