ARLIS/NA MOQ PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AWARDS
- MICHELLE GAUTHIER TRAVEL AWARD ($1000)
Purpose:Â to promote professional development by supporting travel to the ARLIS/NA Annual Conference.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be a member of ARLIS/NA and ARLIS/NA MOQ to attend the conference.
- Applicant must be unable to receive full institutional funding for travel to the conference.
- Preference is given to applicants who are first-time attendees and/or who are involved in the conference program, i.e. presenting a paper, serving as moderator or recorder of a session, serving on an ARLIS/NA committee, etc.
- The award is open to student members.
- The award may not be given in the same year to the winner of an ARLIS/NA Travel Award.
- The recipient must prepare a short report, which will be published in MOQDOC.
To Apply: Please send a resume and a letter of intention by e-mail, detailing your library experience, your ARLIS experience, and any other information that you feel is relevant to assess your needs. All applications must be received by November 25th, 2016. The award winner will be notified by December 9th 2016.
Criteria that will be evaluated by the Professional development committee:
- Demonstrated needs
- Previous participation in the ARLIS/NA conference
- Contribution to the conference
- Contribution to ARLIS/NA or ARLIS/NA/MOQ
- Benefits for ARLIS/NA and/or ARLIS/NA/MOQ
- Previous obtaining of a travel grant
- DAPHNE DUFRESNE MEMBERSHIP AWARD (equivalent to a maximum of $150 U.S.)
Purpose:Â to promote professional development by supporting membership in the national organization (ARLIS/NA).
Eligibility:Â
- Applicant must be a member of ARLIS/NA MOQ.
- The award is open to student members.
- Preference is based on demonstrated need and/or interest and/or professional activity, including activity within the local chapter.

III. MARILYN BERGER STUDENT MEMBERSHIP AWARD
(equivalent to $50 U.S.)
Purpose:Â to promote professional development by supporting membership in the national organization (ARLIS/NA).

- Applicant must be a member of ARLIS/NA MOQ.
- Applicant must be a student.
- Preference is based on demonstrated need and/or interest and/or professional activity, including activity within the local chapter.
